National Garden Clubs offers many educational opportunities through awards for youth at pre-school, elementary, middle, and high school levels. Youth Awards not only involve youth, families and community but also provide interactions with families. Whether it is growing flowers, vegetables, caring for plants, or helping their community, young people develop responsibility, a sense of accomplishment and self-confidence. The High School Distinguished Service Project Award recognizes outstanding high school students for civic projects helping the environment for grade 9-12 students. We encourage our members to invest in our Youth and apply for the Youth Awards. Contact the WGC Youth Contest Chairman for further information.
