History in Every Drop:  The Story of Our Wetlands

 

The history of Palm Beach County is inseparable from our Wetlands.  From our original indigenous inhabitants, to early settlers, to the birth of our modern era, people living in our region have depended on the marshes and swamps of the northern Everglades.  Join us to discover how people have used the unique plants, wildlife, and waterways of this remarkable wetland.  Learn about its historic part in the developmemnt of our area and about the vital role these waters continue to serve for humans and wildlife today.

This event was very interesting and well attended.

Mary Crider from Grassy Waters Preserve gave a thoroughly educational and entertaining presentation.

The Mallet Grill at the National Polo Club was a perfect venue and the weather was perfect.
