La Maison Fleurie: Take an enchanted walk through this beautifully designed 8,000 square foot “House of Flowers”. Enter a magic realm of: palms, orchids, bromeliads, natives, and exotics from the farthest corners of the globe. Something is always blooming, so the bees and butterflies alight and buzz around you, to their hearts content!! You’ll delight in the antics of the fruit and nectar-eating Bananaquit birds. They blew over from the Caribbean during the 2004 hurricane and never left. They multiplied and formed a thriving colony. Come & walk on the Wild Side with us.
Tropical Ranch Botanical Gardens: This lovely garden utilizes Florida Friendly Landscaping and Best Management Practices as defined by The University of Florida. The owners: Diane Rexwood and Jim Haines have created nine beautifully-themed landscaped rooms showcasing over 400 species of unique plants.
Cost: $5.00 for both locations
Tour: 10:00 to 10:45 AM & 11:15 to 12:00 noon
LUNCH: Optional – Eat at local restaurant in Stuart
