Speaking about “Our Pollinators: Butterflies and Bees” is always special for Teri. Having lived in Florida for 41 years, Teri appreciates Florida’s unique ecosystems as well as their eminent threats and substantial losses. She has been involved in the community over the years as an advocate and educator about sustainability issues and natural resource protection. Teri worked for several years at The Nature Conservancy’s Blowing Rocks Preserve on Jupiter Island, as program coordinator at Grassy Waters Preserve, for the West Palm Beach County Office of Sustainability and with the Atala Chapter of the North American Butterfly Association (NABA). Teri is President of the Atala Chapter and continues to be active with the chapter participating in butterfly surveys and educating others about butterfly conservation and butterfly gardening. Her experience for the past 20 years as a Master Gardener with the University of Florida/IFAS, Palm Beach County Extension Service further enables her to continue learning about South Florida’s flora and fauna and sharing that passion with others
